The museum features many donated artifacts from the early 1900’s, old photos and maps and a collection of Indian hammers. One area of the museum is set up as a series of rooms all in time period decoration. There is also a display dedicated to war veterans with Legion flags and mannequins showing uniforms worn by the armed forces.
One special attraction is the restored first Southey school with benches, desks, and presided over by the ever present teacher. Machinery on display includes a separator, breaking plows, and many others. Of special interest are the first rotary rock picker and self propelled rock picker built by Pete Anderson in Southey.
This museum is a great tribute to the early pioneers of the area.
